We aim to draw on cutting-edge research from
across Leeds and York to develop an
evidence-based understanding of how the
climate crisis impacts policing and to inform
innovative approaches to Net Zero, climate
adaptation and mitigation. By harnessing and
mobilising interdisciplinary research through
established networks such as the Priestley
Centre for Climate Futures and the York
Environmental Sustainability Institute, we will
foster collaboration and knowledge exchange
on areas at the intersection of policing, climate
vulnerability, adaptation, and emergency
planning and preparedness.
